Here is a report from Velonews regarding the new SRAM road group.

I think having both up and down shifting on the same shifter, especially when it is hinged off the brake lever, might be a little tough to operate. However I will reserve the final judgement for after actually riding with them. But for now, I am still in camp Campagnolo.

I'm begining to think I should start saving for a new gruppo. Any info on MSRP available?

Me likey. They kept the 1:1 cable travel / gear mech movement. This makes for a really bombproof setup and snappy shifting. Cranks, brakes, gears, brifters, chains...hmmmmm ;) I'm in.

I have Campy on one bike, Shimano on the other.

Guess I need a third bike now.
