Cutting the steerer tube on a 3T Funda road pro fork?

I need to shorten the steerer tube on a 3T Funda Road pro fork, but the aluminum sleeve is already epoxied into the steerer tube. So, is it still possible to cut the steerer tube without ruining the fork? I need to cut at least 40mm.

Assuming it's been epoxied in correctly, and 40mm is above the star nut, you can cut the fork with the aluminum insert still in it.
