I need to build a set of inexpensive wheels for bikepacking and winter use. I'm looking for a disc specific rim which weighs around 450 grams and costs less than $50. Does anyone have experience with the newer rims from Sun Ringle, WTB, or Alex? Are they worth trying or should I just use Mavic 317's?

I've been riding and liking a set of wheels I built up with these rims:

These are on sale. 510gm, but super stout. White color if you don't mind.

The 355 are also on sale since they have moved over to Crest and Alpine.
