Went to Kent Island which is just across the chesapeake bay from annapolis md. for a 40 mile ride today. It was a picture perfect day with a temp in the upper 60's, clear blue skies and the usual breezy conditions. I was jra with my brain in neutral when all of a sudden a bald eagle circled once and landed on the rode directly in front of me, paused for a few seconds and then took off for parts unknown. First one I have seen out there in quite some time. Usually only see them way overhead or parked in a tree and never at such a close range. Quite the magnificent bird!
