The latest idea in non-numbing saddles is now available from Performance. It's based on the research of a Dr. Jeffrey Cohen who did an e-book on saddles for RoadBikeRider.com.

I like the looks of it better than all the cut-out saddles, none of which I've ever liked. It's also 190 grams and on sale at $80.

Looks like there's a comfortable position in there somewhere, but I'd hate to think what happens when you slide back on the saddle to climb and suddenly you can't reach the pedals anymore because the front "wings" are blocking your legs. I tend to try a lot of stuff that sounds like it might be a cool idea and am disappointed more times than not. Somebody else has to be the guinea pig this time.

in 15 years of riding bikes, the flite has never...ummmm...made me numb. I guess my sit-bones are just in the right place for a flite.
