OT...Ancient tool or bike saddle?? new use for my hincapie kit

About a quarter mile from our new place
Construction on a park parking lot
Has been suspended as an archeology team
Has been called in about artifacts found
From early on in the ground breaking.
I was sitting on the beach today
Between bike rides
Just chatting with my wife
Enjoying the 73 degree weather...
And thought I would dig.
I found these 18" inches directly beneath me.
any guesses??
i hope the round one is an ancient fixed gear cog!
the rock looks to me like it may be an improvement
on the flite saddle...


obtw, the shot of me digging in my hincapie kit
was a gift to you from my wife...
she sent it to our daughters
...dad's out at the new place
