It appears that car was heavily influenced by the Aston Martin look. And who would want to put a bike rack on an Aston Martin? You? James Bond? I think not!

makes me glad I bought a Sportwagen TDI a few weeks back. roof rack no problem, or if it's just me and a friend we can put the bikes in the back...

How about a trailer hitch? Got one for my Prius Plug-in... not the most stiff, and would never tow anything, but good enough for 2 bikes on a T2 rack.

You can fit your bikes in the back of a jetta wagon. I find it hard to get a single mtn bike in mine. There is a hitch avail for the jetta that doesn't look to bad. It's easy to install.

so far no problems getting a 57cm 'cross bike in without touching a bolt or QR.
that said, i do have roof rack parts to put on this weekend. the only problem with the roof rack is that it can't stay on all the time - my last one on previous vehicle was stolen (locks don't matter)

I figured a T2 rack would make a Prius flip over backward... ;) :D

you leave both wheels on? Back seat down I assume. I put my medium mtn bike back there but with the front wheel off. I too have a roof rack and just recently rammed a mtn bike into my garage destroyed the bike and ruined the cars roof rails. They are being replaced the first of Nov. I usually put my opener in the back with my gear so I have to get out of the car to open the garage, but hadn't been doing it recently. This was a painful and costly reminder of why that was a good idea.

Love the jetta wagon though.
