I've been through about 14 pages of the image gallery and haven't found the paint job I'm looking for: around the late 80s/early 90s, I rode with a guy who had a fillet-brazed Colorado frame in a nice creamy orange, not safety orange but kind of orange-sherbet orange, with white decals. I'm hunting for photos to see if I can get my CRL painted like that.

Anybody? Bueller? Thanks in advance.

And, Carthage must be destroyed.

the pearly orange paint of the first batch of Rivendell Rambouillets was developed by Joe Bell and I think he might be able to help you.

It seems that a lot of the time orange shows up darker on the computer. Here's a stab at it...

Nice shots! Especially Autumn in Colorado. Well, especially all of 'em -- I'd never seen that sorta-Molteni look, and I don't remember seeing the white fork either, although it looks great. But I think that third one is just what I recall... and I'll contact Joe Bell and see if he's doing that.

I didn't know we had an Orange Bike thread, but if all goes as planned I'll soon be posting some photos there myself...

Thanks all!

... I had an orange Ramboulliet for a while that I sold to a forumite finally cuz it was just too big. It was the most beautiful bike I have ever seen, and I confess that one reason I bought it was b/c of the paint. Juicy, deep, citrus orange.....sigh.
You could do a lot worse than get JB to copy that paint for you.

This is closest to the look I'd end up with (only, not the red tires).

But my favorite part is the sign in the window behind the bike...
