Only one crappy iphone pic, but it was a beautiful day, clear blue skies, 70deg with 41% humidity. Did 18 miles of single track on the new turner flux that replaced the one that was introduced to the top of my garage.

Nice stuff Malcolm. Dave Turner makes one of the best mountain bike around. Although a new Firefly under your butt would be even better!

Oak Mtn state park in Birmingham, Al. Not a whole lot to say about Birmingham, it's a decent place, sort of a generic southeastern city.

Alabama does have some very nice state parks and Oak Mtn is one. Very well maintained overall, the mtn trails by a local club, BUMP, birmingham urban mountain pedalers. The park is really nice, hiking, horses, road and mtn bikes, a couple of lakes, cabin rentals, etc.

The main mtn bike trail is 16-18 miles as a loop, mostly single track, some very flowing some pretty technical, lots of fairly short but steep climbs and lots of roots and rocks. Not colorado but very nice.
