View Full Version : who makes a short stack 6d stem?

currently using a 10d thomson X2 which has a 36mm stack.

looking for a 6d stem to pick up 7-8mm in height. who makes a short stack 6d stem? running out of steerer so not sure how much more stack I can accomodate.

31.8 bars, length would be 110 or 120

You can get the Easton ea90 in a zero degree model... Not exactly what you're looking for, but that'll get the bars up without looking wacky IMO.

Alternately, what headset are you using?

Once, long ago, I swapped from a Hope to a Crank Bros to gain a few mms, for example.

You can get a Thomson X4 in 0 degree too. That'll get you the additional height you are looking for.

Got a new Ritchey 40 mm stack in plus 6 and it looks good. Replacing a Thomson x2. Its not quite as stiff as the x2 but is 20 grams lighter and while riding I dont notice. Retired the x2 from miles, it still appears fine.

FSA OS-150 is 34mm - at least the one in my hands that is a few years old is 34mm.
