I got shut out of the Betsy thread after it imploded in a sea of vitriol, but to pick up on the last part of the thread, before the personal stuff, the discussion turned to why USADA did or did not ask the riders about doping on other teams, or doping after 2006. All of the affidavits said something to the effect that the affidavit did not represent the totality of the rider's knowledge on the subject. In addition, the purpose of the affidavits was to memorialize what would have been the witness's testimony about the charges against the six named defendants as set forth in USADA's charging letter. The focus of that investigation was US Postal. So perhaps what USADA may have uncovered during that investigation will give rise to further charges involving other teams, other riders, and later dates (e.g., the mentioning of the redacted "Rider 1" and "Other 3"). But for now, the immediate purpose of the affidavits was to take the place of the live testimony that became moot when Lance opted not to contest the charges.

I would like to see the interviews the affidavits were derived from. The info outside out the riders' experience at Postal/Disco is very thin. For example, Leipheimer knows a lot about Saturn, Rabo Bank, and Gerolsteiner. It was probably covered in interviews, but it is not in the affidavit.

Do guys like Crawford get a free pass? He was working for Slipstream not long ago.
