Have a pair of Shimano BR-600 caliper brakes. I've used them for winter riding and the big spring in each of the calipers is getting a bit rusty. Anyone know if I can find replacement springs somewhere?
Thanks!

I'd put a few drops of light oil on there, use a q-tip to distribute it, and forget about it.

Try this first. I use it on rusty auto parts. Leave it in over night. Degrease whole caliper first, then put the whole caliper in. Non toxic, amazing stuff.

If you are determined to replace the springs, you can have some fun by making your own out of a stainless steel spoke. When I refurbish vintage center pull brakes, I routinely throw away the crusty original springs and hand wind new ones out of 14G spokes.

Pretty easy to do, and you can play around to get just the spring tension you like.
