Was driving back from the local REI...and suddenly Fleetwood Mac's Dreams came on the radio!

http://youtu.be/iMq4jpjab34

I had a genuine, blissful smile flash across...enjoyed driving past the beach back home. And now I'm faced with a ton of work over the weekend, but I know I'm going to be queueing Fleetwood Mac for quite some time as well, to make the going pleasant.

What music/song does it for you?

P.S. For whatever reason, please don't diss Stevie Nicks! If you do, I'll personally hunt you down, and feed you to the wolves! :fight:

"Home" is the song, from Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros.

Kind of an oddball song, and it just makes me happy.

Sorry to admit it, but Psy's Gangnam Style video cracks me up.

Aside from that, Tom Petty.

Sorry to admit it, but Psy's Gangnam Style video cracks me up.

I heard the song on the car radio for the first time last Friday night and just about had a solo car party.

I almost hate to love it, but then I figure, why bother hating on it at all. :)

Man oh man! I love Gypsy, the last minute is my favourite bit...I love the entire Rumours album.

Have you heard Sisters of the Moon? http://youtu.be/yQgiznVzh2Q
The live version they played on their Mirage tour in 1982, is my favourite.

Hopefully, I'm driving you into the zone I'm already in, in terms of blissful music!

Some fantastic reco's here...I did hear Home, like it quite a bit...just heard Man on Fire, very nice.

Speaking of odd songs, this one's pretty good too:
Francis and the Lights - It's Alright (http://youtu.be/INcUV8ygIjo)

Tom Petty is another one who always hits the right notes in my ears...consistently good. A couple of songs on his recent album were pretty darn good as well - Trip to Pirate's Cove, Something Good Coming.

And, Louis Armstrong...I've heard the quintessential song of his - It's a wonderful world, but this is a great song too! And I have many compositions of Duke Ellington on my iTunes.

Fixed: Do you listen to Oscar Peterson, Stéphane Grappelli, Django Reinhardt as well?

My favorite record right now is Miles Davis' In a Silent Way.
Unrelated, I just saw the movie "Searching for Sugarman" and it was great, and I can't wait to track down Rodriguez' records.

Kind of a Rock and Roll type of guy. Older and newer stuff. Tunes that make me think of my wife, good times and bad: Jefferson Starship: Runaway. Stellar Revival: Alive. 10 Years: Don't Fight It. Theory of a Dead Man: By the Way. Firefall: So Long. Papa Roach: Scars. Reo Speedwagon: Time for Me to Fly. Pop Evil: Somebody Like You (Local band making it big). Ambrosia: Biggest Part of Me. Could go on and on but don't want to bore you any longer! Kind of all over the rock map and I guess not all of them induce smiles!! But me and my beautiful wife just passed the 19 year mark and are going strong!!! Cheers, Matthew.

Working on a research paper in a cafe right now. This song just came on. Good stuff. Rare that I can tolerate whistling in a song, but they pull it off nicely.

Speaking of Soundtracks', I recently watched - "Robot and Frank"...really wonderful movie, with great music. Here's a sample: http://youtu.be/2XujM12a1bk

I've been trying to find it online for the longest time, but haven't yet.

My other fave OST is Motorcycle Diaries.

As far as Rock n Roll goes, I'm a huge Led Zep/Pink Floyd fan...of course there's Dire Straits, The Doors, and many, many others.

So many great songs and artists out there, but I've yet to meet someone who could hear chuck berry's Johnny b. Goode without smiling.

Go Johnny, go!
