Does anyone have a problem with these(metal) damaging rims?

I don't have any experience with them, but they seem like a bad idea. Pedro's levers are the best IMO.

yeah, i used pedros previously but thought the kings looked pretty trick. Until i used them on a difficult to remove tire with an campy alloy rim.....dang it.

Love the cages! Levers not so much.

I read somewhere how great they were and ordered some without thinking. First time I used them they but little dents in my rims. Wish I had thought that one through as it was a waste of money.

Worthless, in my experience.

But very light...

I don't know what they are called, but I like the long yellow nylon ones. You only need one. I've never had a problem with any tire, getting them on or off. I did come close to bending the lever in half a couple times, but after ten years it is still going strong. Costs about $2.

Stick with plastic. Or if you can, no levers at all. Depending on the rim cross-section and the flexibility of the tire, it is possible to get some tires off using just your hands.

Maybe it's just intuition, but my guess is that neither of you two own any Campy rims...

I own a pair of Eurus...and I have the bloody thumbs to prove it.

My favorite setup is one of the metal Minoura metal ones to hold the bead and a plastic Park one to slide around.

I used Lezyne and they marked up my rings. Pedros is the best I've ever used.

It's the best! Even with Conti 4000s on Campy rims.
