So, in honor of Columbus Day I thought I would explore a little bit more of Kodiak Island... The plan was to head out to the end of Anton Larson road to the bay but that changed about halfway out there... Once I realized I was out of cell phone range, I got a little spooked as I was riding alone and there aren't many cars and a lot of critters that could include 9ft tall Brown Bears so I decided to turn around and head back... Plan to hook up with a buddy soon and do the whole road (it's an out and back)... anyway, here are some pics
Not real sure what the crosses are for, but I'm betting on a plane/helo crash into this mountain... there are many of those here... the clinic I work in is named after a Doc and Flight Corpsman that died in a crash...

hope some others got out today... sometimes it's really good to be a Federal employee... ;)
