The picture of the Meivici bb looks...uhh...familiar. But perhaps it is theirs and it's okay if it's not, no big deal. Does the La Corsa replace the Concours? I suppose we shall see what's what. 1699BPS is about $3000 and that's the frame, no fork, I think.

I will not be paying to play in these realms but I hope those who do enjoy their bikes immensely.

The 'cross bike looks very yummy and the Ti Max is exquisite.

The prices? Trading blocks and their tariffs. I think Dario Pegoretti has a good lobbyist working very hard for him in Brussells. )

Perhaps Ben and Dario should sign a technology transfer agreement, but would the NSA approve it? ;)

Looks like a C-50 bottom bracket to me...

Yes, that CX cross bike looks excellent. But $6000+ for a frame only?? ...Whew, not this time around.

The Uniscasi is also interesting and, in steel, would appear to be one of the better values here - espescially for those of who often travel.

dbrk,

La Corsa slots between the CDA and Concours. It appears that Serotta has put the 'special' model (or something similar) they were making for Wheelworks last year into production.

I don't know how 1700 pounds will translate back to dollars - There's certainly price inflation as the frames cross the Atlantic.

I was interested to see that they price the new Fierte IT at 1750 pounds. I was/am hoping that the price won't go up too much.

The La Corsa and Fierte IT are officially at the top of my list for a new bike. Add the Seven Alaris and the Moots, and I think I've got all the candidates identified.

The link doesn't seem to be working anymore. Anyways, the new fierte and la corsa are very sweet looking. It looks a though pricing will be going up substantially. I guess I will have to wait until they update their website to know for for sure. I'm kind of bummed that the prices appear to be escalating so much, but they are definitely sweet looking bikes.

i looked into ordering a serotta in england earlier in the year when i was living in europe but held off as they were much cheaper in the usa. my guess is that they will continue to be so in the future.

cheers,

andy.

Your right, the page now appears to be missing. Odd. They've probably had their chain yanked by H.Q. in N.Y. "Naughty, naughty, we come first, don't do it again. Slap".

The prices quoted were U.K. retail and not U.S. retail. Himalayanesque.

In an earlier thread, Alexis said the La Corsa will be $2300. Cheaper than the 2005 Concours, but not by much... As far as the Fierte IT, I'm assuming similar pricing. It's a big jump from the $1800 Fierte Ti, but it's a significantly different frame...

I'm excitedly/anxiously waiting for more info, too. Alexis left town rather than submit to my demands! ;)

I didn't know the La Corsa was slated for 2300. That isn't so bad (I can't believe I'm saying that). When I did the conversion to dollars I figured the conversion would be closer to 3000 dollars. I am lusting after the new frames, but part of me is saying to buy a whole new bike for that amount of money. Anyways, I'm sure the frames will be sweet, and they don't seem to have a problem selling them. I guess will save my pennies until spring comes around.
