Now there is a bike Serotta should have pictured all over their website. Outstanding. Wish I had could justify this.

That is a beautiful bike. You must have some amazing bikes coming to replace it!

this must have been JB #2 as JB #1 was the red cabarnet with gold logos.
nice machine for sure
...it's too big for me!
But do you really need to sell it if it's "the best riding bike I have owned"? You'll get over your infatuation with fixed gears sometime, and then you'll be looking for a bike and wondering where it went.

No, I don't really NEED to sell it, but its a bike and its in perfect condition.. At this point in my life I don't want to replace it if I crash, drop it etc.. It'll never be worth more than it is now.
If it doesn't sell, I'll keep it and ride it till it dies.

I am not certain which JB this was.. I did buy the wine colored gold lettered bike from JimCav... That frame ended up with a cracked seat tube, this bike was a replacement from Serotta in march of this year.. Built to the same specs as the attached build sheet.

I see...the wine one morphed into this one. nice! I thought about the wine one from jimcav myself at the time but could not pull it off.
I was wondering if you could comment on the 73.3 STA....how did they decide thats the angle as I guess I am just used to seeing either 73 or 73.5 STA...plus the two frames I have with 73.5 HTA have 73.0 STA.. is it a matter of saddle position or other?

Frankly... I have no idea if its 73.3 or 73.5.. I only stated 73.3 because of the build sheet. I will say that it feels about perfect for me..
75 cm center of bob to top of saddle
-7.5 drop top of saddle to top of bars
.5 cm spacer below and above stem as pictured

Beautiful bike... though the leather saddle seems kinda out of place around all that carbon? ;)
Good luck with the sale!

hmm. that would fit me about perfectly, rideable as is but a bit nicer with the top spacer shoved underneath ... hmmm

Agreed about the look.. though I will never ride a standard saddle again.. still not sure about the Selle Anatomica that is shown, but completely sold on the Brooks Swift.
thanks

I'm sure you'd rather have someone who wants to buy it than to say stuff like this: but I just have to say how thankful I am that this is too big for me. What a beautiful bike. Panels. Colors. Just beautiful. :hello:
