I read once that you know your a true cyclist when you think you look good in your helmet. Got me thinking. What is the helmet you think looks the best?

Mine is the sadly now defunct Giro Ionos. Looks good to me and I look damn good in it.

In love with my new Giro Aeon. I took the silly graphics off and it looks ultra P-R-O in the chartreuse. Like the looks of the Spesh stuff, but the always look like they're sitting on top of my head. Bell/Giro last seems to suit me better. I liked my Volt as well, and the new Bell top of the line offering looks interesting, but I haven't seen it in person yet.

Casco Attack. Gladiator looks. Integrated safety halo. Small aero profile. What's not to love. Unfortunately, can't race in it anymore. USA Cycling changed the rule not allowing EU Certified helmets anymore.

Currently rocking the Uvex Urban. Its a little tall on the head compared to some but I love the round aero shape and low cost ($50 - 60).

I love the Uvex Boss Race, it looks ok but I´ve found that, for my big odd shaped head, is the most comfortable lid, and light to boot. I´ve recommended it to a couple of friends and they like it too. As for looking good on a helment (bikesnob dixit) good luck with that.

Partial to my new Bell Volt.

I caved one in a bad accident this spring and I won't swap at this point.

They look fine in the silver color.

I'm too old to care what I look like anyway.:)

as long as they fit properly, don't mind the appearance of most road helmets...with the exception of the Catlike swiss-cheese stuff and the S-Works. hate the gaping huge hole in the front and the jail bars on the rear. an aesthetic disaster imo.

and you can RUIN the look of even the best-looking helmet by putting a stupid visor on it.

Totally agree, these are two of the ugliest helmets out there, as well as that one that Euskatel have been wearing with the curved bits at the front. Something about that particular design that makes it look about 3 sizes too big.

I love the Giro Atmos, really comfortable for my head and looks pretty good for a helmet

My personal fave. I've got a huge noggin- actually quite wide. This is the only helmet that doesn't make me look like I have a mushroom head. I have used a lot of Giros and they work, and fit well. But dang if it didn't make me look like a dickhead mushroom tip.

Mavic Plasma series look good as far as helmets do. But more importantly, they fit me quite well.

Lazer Genesis. Nicely profiled on the sides to reduce the "mushroom" look, with an excellent retention system to boot.

+1. Of all the beer coolers I have had to wear, this is the least beer cooler-ey.
