I am in the process of building up a Serotta Colorado ll. Going with a Campy groupset.
Would like to have a wheelset that is silver with no black. Had been advised to consider Mavic Open Pro, but I see that these are silver/ black rims.
Any suggestions for a rim? BTW I am thinking of Miche Racing Box Hubs.
Thanks

I used a pair of the Miche hubs. Destickered them and they looked great and spun smooth. No complaints.

How about these, some of the coolest (IMO) rims out there.

Kinlin XR19W comes in silver.

It's a very light rim. I got a pair even if I was a bit afraid they would't survive long in the streets of Montreal - I'm 170 lbs by the way - but after a whole season they are still very true and round. Love them. Oh and they are cheaper than Mavic or DT :D

They are as 'silver' as OpenPros are...415 and 465 as well. Or the Pacenti rim pictured above.

A23 if you want the wide rim road feel.

If you are looking for a modern "polished" silver rims I'm not sure if there many. Sun makes the M13II that's polished silver. I know Velo-Orange also makes a few 700c polished silver rims. I can't vouch for the quality though. Everything else I've seen is "brushed" silver.

I like Torelli Triumphs; see: http://www.torelli.com/parts/rims/torelli-triumph-rims.html
And there's also Velo Orange rims.
If you want a more aero rim there is the American Classic Sprint 350, a bit gawdy but not as bad as most modern looking wheels; http://www.spinlitecycling.com/american-classic-wheels.html Roll your mouse over the picture of the rim and it will turn to the black option.
And if you want a deep aero rim then try the Kinlin XR300: http://www.prowheelbuilder.com/kinlin-xr300-700c-silver-rim.html

Ambrosio Excellence, might be easier to find in the US as the Torelli Triumph:

while, fashion is important, am I the only one that thinks the first consideration should be durability and performance? whats the size of the rider, etc.

I guess that's why you don't see aero and carbon fiber rims on touring bikes, in fact you see mostly fashionable ones because their more reliable. Isn't that weird?

Nope, not the only one but the 'market' can be a funny place. Funny as in strange and funny as in 'ha, ha' also, I guess, when I see what some bicycles are spec'ed with. Either from the product manager lizard or the rider.

Someone said it earlier, but Velocity A23s come in silver. I got mine from Velomine laced to Ultegra hubs. http://www.velomine.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=86_235_350&products_id=1848
