Selling my C50. One of the best stock carbon frame ever.

It is a 61cm traditional WXIB, in great shape (was rotated with 5 other bikes), has less than 5K miles on it. I bought it new (invoice available), it is a 2008 model with the Star fork (later on that year model they moved to the Star75 that some people claim is not as good).

The steerer is uncut at 30cm.

A small chip on the drive side chainstay pictured.

$1850 shipped. Price includes frame/fork/colnago seatpost/Campy UT cups/Chris King headset

You basically want my girlfriend to throw me out into the street for having too many bikes.

That's the only reason I can think of for posting this kind of fantastic thing of fantasticness for sale.

A friendly bump for a great bike. Look no further for the best of Italian carbon. You can always find another girlfriend.

The seat tube is exactly 61cm from center BB to right below the clamp. The headtube is 18.3cm (not including external headset of course).

thx for checking, there are some C50s that have the post-2007 geometry. yours has the original colnago geometry.

unforunately there are no super-hard-and-fast ways to be sure, aside from an actual physical measurement of the frame in question. even then, there can be substantial variations from the official spec -- i have a (verified) 61cm C40 from 2004 (the last of them before the C50 came along) and the HT is 173mm -- a full 10mm shorter than the spec!

fwiw...here's a comparison chart: http://brown-snout.com/cycling/tech/ColnagoGeometryReference.pdf

Hum, this is strange. Mine is a 2008. But I am quite surprised than any C50 had that geometry on the right as for instance the taller headtube was to compensate the fact that the headset was integrated.

the issue seems to be less about HT length, and more about the ST/TT combinations.

i bought a C50 frame that measured as a 62cm ST. while the HT was correct for pre-2007 the TT was the longer post-2007 spec which made it fit like a 64cm using the old geometry!

the joys of inconsistent eye-talian manufacturing processes...a high-quality measuring tape is your friend!
