Support your local builder. Nitto is sweet. Eric's stuff is nicer.

I'm not saying this comes anywhere close to Nitto stem, but pretty cool in its own right. Not sure what you are building - but if its retro:

Nothing wrong with the understated beauty of a Nitto Pear, Cinelli 1R or a DA hidden bolt....

Cinelli grammo ti works for me....kind of a tweener stem, not quite vintage, not quite new school.

I have a Cinelli Grammo quill stem in 26.0, 120mm if you're interested. Is is complete with the top cap and alloy expander bolt.

Anything out there before I splurge on this spendy stem? 120mm/26.0 clamp.
Random comment which you are welcome to ignore: The rest of that stem is very, very nice, but I've never liked that style bar clamp. The brazed-on knobby stuff at the bottom just turns me off. YOMV (your opinion may vary)

the crest thing on the first nitto is hideous
you can't beat a good old pearl... or, if you're particular about not mixing italian and japanese, a 1A (i like em more than the 1R)

A right arm offspinner, Rahman was a member of Bangladesh's 1997 ICC Trophy winning side. He became his country's inaugural Test captain when he led Bangladesh on their Test debut, against India in 2000. Rahman took 6 for 132 in India's first innings, including the wickets of Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly.

i think i'm going the pearl route...have a nitto s83 seatpost laying around someplace to match. thanks!
Check out the Nitto Dynamic too. The handlebar binder bolt is tucked under the stem, so it's a little more hidden. I think it looks a little nicer.

As far as bang for the buck how about the nickel-plated Ritcheys made by Nitto? Light/stiff/pretty/lots of sizes, and under $20 used.
Some favorites, all the Alex Singer stems (http://43bikes.com/d/4189-1/singer-stem-new.jpg),
and this one by Andre Sabliere:
