Masi Nouvo Prestige 60 x 58 Dario Built
This frame and fork was purchased from SamIAm a few weeks back, Alot of history behind this as the title says built by Dario;I have Documentation from Dario and if you trace this frame from the original owner Jeff Weir it has been in many photo shoots and articles. The frame was recently sent to Joe Bell a couple of weeks ago to be completely redone as far as Paint and Decals. The frame is currently at Joe Bells and has not been touched. The frame and fork are being sold for $800 unfinished.
"Tis indeed special. This bike is labeled an Alberto Masi Nuovo Prestige, 60x58, with Masi debossed crown and seat stay caps and a few other frame bit details that are pure Masi...except it was built by Dario Pegoretti. I have the original pictures of Dario working on the bike in the raw, so it's the real deal. Masi no longer builds anything but in this case the frame is actually a Pegoretti built with Masi fittings. It's in brand new shape, threadless one inch steel fork. French blue, yellow decals. I'm prettty sure it's in a Serotta gallery, originally belonged to Jeff Weir. Let me know if you are interested. It's got Pegoretti geos too, lots of setback, perfect ride, etc."
The frame is no longer in brand new shape, in fact the paint is pretty rough, especially in the BB/CS area as shown in the picture below. No dents or dings or rust that I can find, but I would definitely be repainting it at some point.
I have many Pictures of the frame which i cam email if needed

Hi Robert ,
Sorry for the long time to reply but I was on flight to us , 90% I have build this frame , there is an I congruence regarding the brake bridge reinforcement but can be that for this particular frame I receive the request for a different reinforcement part.
Have a nice day

Would you happen to know the seat post angle and is the seat post measurement ctc or ctt?

I dont have the seat tube angle but i will try to get it but center of crank to the top of seatpost is 60cm and top tube center to center is 58cm
Woah. Do I see a gaps in that NDS seat stay attachment and a blob of braze on the same side's lower head lug?

This frame was imported into the U.S between 2003-2004 and where exclusively sold through Milano Sports LTD in Greenwich CT.The price of the Frame and Fork in 2004 was $2195 unfinished in the Raw. The frames came in sizes from 52cm up to 61cm all sizing was measured ctc. I have contacted Bob Hovey and several others to get the seat tube angle from what i have gathered it is either 72 to 72.5 degree. This was also posted.

There is quite a bit of interest on the Dario Built Masi Frame it has real nice
Pedigree.Frames like this don't come around too often Id like to see it go to a good Home ! A custom built steel frame and fork from one of the top builders will cost in the neighborhood of $3000 with nice paint.
With the cost of this frame and fork and nice paint you can be in this for half the price of a custom built

This is the last chance if someone is interested in this frame .It is currently at Joe Bells Shop. The fork crown and all the drop outs have been chromed and polished.Joe has gone through the frame and it is all prepped ready for paint. You can still pick out the colors and Paint scheme. I just received a message from Joe saying everything is going forward.I purchased the frame and fork from SamIam from the forum several months ago. A very unique frame built by DARIO PEGORETTI
