I am sooo close to proverbially PTT on a new Neo Primato. I have always wanted a De Rosa steel in Faema. The current Faema red has been one of my all-time favorites. However, I absolutely love white bikes, so rather than a standard Faema, I was thinking of a classic Faema where the main color is white with red panels. I've seen a fellow fourmite's Merckx with the Faema white and it looks great. I'm having a tough time deciding! If I choose the white version, I am wondering if I will regret not getting the red Faema.

BTW, does anyone know why there are 2 different versions of Faema? It's not like there are reverse Motlenis and Saronnis. From looking at old pics of Eddy's actual race bikes, I'm assuming that the white was the original and the red is the "new" or current Faema. If anyone has the background on that, I would much appreciate that.

My bro in law has a 58 Faema. Just thought I'd pass it along to him if you were the same size. Campy Chorus 10s equipped.

Does anyone know what tubing they use in the Neo Primato's?

A rare photo of a red Faema in the wild.

My personal frame of reference for all-steel bikes. Pun intended.

Ferrari red, Italian bike, Campagnolo... what more needs to be said... ?
