Happened across an ad for ONE-10 bar tape in Velo-News.
Has anyone used it?
The only bar tape I will use is the US-born and -bred HANDLEBRA! All leather, many colors, lasts forever.

No joke!
+1 or 1,000 whatever. Handlebra is the bomb!

Newbaums cloth tape is Eco friendly, vegan, cheap, and American made.
Never heard of One-10. I've heard of Five-Ten, Hang Ten, Caad10 and On One though.

One-10 looks as if it just comes in black:

Lots of colorful bar-end plugs, though:

If I pay 80 bucks for bar tape it sure as hell better be a heirloom.

It looks like spongy foamey stuff. My experience is that sort get pretty old quickly, compresses and gets slippery. at $14 though its worth a shot, then at least someone will have some feedback on it.

$80 is not a bad price for leather. I switched handle bra between several bikes and it's still going strong, just unwrap from one and put it on the other.

If you saw/rode/felt HB, you wouldn't question the cost. It's a lifetime bar tape.

I have 10,000+ miles on my Handle Bra and it is still holding up fine. I should mention it has seen its fair share of rain.

I have ALOT of miles on this tape. There is no other white tape that holds up as good as handlebra. Its messenger approved ! :)
Doesent look as spotless from above but still its a white tape with more than 2 years of usage.

Are we sure all the cows and bulls that gave their lives for Handlebra were US-born and bred?
Couldn't some of them be Canadian cows?

Or Italian!
Consider that my French teachers in high school used to tell me: Vous parlez Francais comme une vache Espagnol.
So I know a lot about Euro cows, and I don't think Handlebra has traveled that far to source its materials.
Or Italian!
Well according to some on here; ( old Spud) those would be better!

You may be right.
Maybe we can get Ray to chime in and tell us where his supplier gets their supplies! :p

I like Lizard Skin tape. It has an outstanding grip and feel. Kind of a pain to keep clean but one I saddle up, it feels soooooo good. One-10 is competitively priced and is worth trying. But this Lizard Skin is superb bar tape.

I like to wrap my bars in Lizard skin tape,
then after a few weeks when they invariably wear at the ramps.
I double wrap them over the top with Handlebra.
Expensive, awesome, and even further off topic!
