Went for an early morning forty on the Zanc. A little chilly, wind blowing, and leaves starting to fall on the road. Won't be long now...

Great picture William. Hopefully we'll have a cool fall in Colorado after setting a summer record for most days over 90. The aspens are turning in the high country and the peaks are getting light snow.

It was in the upper 30s here in southeast MN when I started my ride this morning. Knee warmers, arm warmers, wind shell and long-fingered gloves. Oh, and numb toes. I think that qualifies as more than "almost" here.

An old friend who lives in Alaska wrote that there is "termination dust" on the mountains. I had to ask. It is their word for early snow signalling the termination of Summer. :)

Not quite autumn in the southeast but it is cooling off a bit. It has been raining the past couple days and this am, but I still got in 2 1/2 hours. A little bit of jeep road and the rest glorious single track, only saw a couple hikers
