Sorry if this was covered already....
Will the new 11 speed cassettes be compatible with all 10 speed shimano hubs (7800, 7900)?

No. See e.g. http://www.bicycling.com/bikes-gear/new-bike-gear-previews/shimano-lifts-veil-new-dura-ace-9000-group

So all these nice Chris King hubs, along with every other wheelset out there, not compatible. So I wonder if all the wheel companies, Easton, Reynolds, Zipp, etc, along with all the hub manufacturers, will offer replacement freehub bodies to work with 11?

Since the new freehub body is 1.85mm wider, most hubs will most likely require more than just a new freehub to work (maybe new axle or axle endcap too), not to mention a redish. Just my guess, but I suspect wheelmakers (Easton, Reynolds, etc) won't bother with a retrofit kit.

I've heard that Mavic wheels should work with Shimano 11, since it's already wider than necessary for Shimano 10.

Kind of makes Campy 9/10/11 compatible hubs seem like a smart piece of engineering.

Well, Campy did this already when they went to 8sp (IIRC) and made previous hubs obsolete.

I've read that Ksyriums will indeed work with 9000. Just leave off the spacer and you're good to go. Jeff N.

OK, so I'm fine with sticking to 10 speed for the next several years..
So if I want to build a '7800' rear wheel (not 7801)....
Which cassettes will work? I've googled, but there seems to be mixed answers..
Will Ultegra 6700 cassettes work?

And, if I buy a NOS 7800 cassette, will it work on CK hubs? What about newer wheelsets from Zipp or HED?

Thx!

Mavic are 11s compatible as are some Fulcrum.

Gee wasn't that 15 years ago...and didn't shimano did that already when they went from uniglide to hyperglide, 7 to 8s...like in late 80s??

I believe that Zipp is going to offer a retro fit on their wheels. If you're like me and have 5 sets of Shimano wheels then you are SOL.
