Glad I don't live in Pittsburgh!

Note the story also mentions two other cyclists who were hit earlier this summer by drivers who then just drove away.

Pittsburgh police offer description of South Side bicyclist's attacker (http://www.post-gazette.com/stories/local/neighborhoods-city/pittsburgh-police-offer-description-of-south-side-bicyclists-attacker-652299/)
By Moriah Balingit
The bicyclist, Colin Albright, told police the man who got out of a gray two-door sedan and stabbed him was a clean-shaven white man.

. . . it should be interesting to hear his side of it--and see what kind of charges actually get charged and prosecuted.

"But Your Honor--I didn't realize I had followed and stabbed him because the sun was in my eyes!"

This sounds more like a guy having the very bad luck of crossing paths with a lunatic than a bike issue to me. The comments on the story are quite civil.

Three hit and runs without an arrest - OUCH.

He's a nice kid too...good folks at the shop as well. I posted a video from a local news station that's following the story.
