Their rigid road and mountain forks are pretty good to excellent depending upon which tubing was used. The full suspension mountain forks were heavy and low tech compared to the competition. They were used on lower end mountain bikes and had problems with stiction.

If it's one of the chrome welded unicrown jobs, Ebay it; they're ubiquitous heavyish and mediocre, nothing worth cherishing, $45.
If it's a lugged crown version (they made lots of varieties) and looks good, then it's meant for your work bike or rain bike. $75.

how many runs today?

Some of the Tange forks have the less common 27.0 crown races as opposed to the more common 26.4.

I think Tange Prestige was their top-line tubing that some consider the equal of anything from the era.

I had a MTB fork made with Tange Prestige. Actually the entire bike was made of it. Prior to suspension it was as good as mountain bikes get. I'm guessing the fork isn't trash.

Fixed, I have a 92 Serotta Colorado LT(check gallery) made out of Tange Prestige.
I can tell you is a sweet bike. Actually I measure all my new bikes against it........Enjoy the fork..... :D

Since it's the crowned road variety, I'd say this is pretty swell. I mean, it's not worth a lot, like Brian said, but it will ride really nicely on the right bike. Tange Prestige tubing on, say, a 1992 RB-1 with a Tange fork and Ritchey crown is one of the nicest riding bikes _ever_. Not expensive, not light by today's standards but a great ride because it was lovely tubing, affordable, and very, very smartly designed (the Bstone, that is).
