1986 Marinoni Special. Have a Racing T group I could hang on it and some nice DT hoops. It could be really nice, or ...

Thoughts?

A yellow regal and yellow tape would look cool. I say do it.

Does it fit you? Is the price right?

Buy it. Life is too short.

Sorta reminds of the Seinfeld when Jerry debates going through with the 'menage' and decides against because he'd need swinger friends if he did it.

You'll need some garish friends, to ride with (if you don't have some already).

Do it.

Don't do it.

There - did I talk you into and out of it?

126 rear spacing?

1986 = noodly steel. You are no waif.

there is your objectivity.

get it if you want it.

This was indeed true for my Trek 400 from that era. Doesn't mean it won't be a good ride, just that IME when you "step on it" it doesn't feel as good as a stiffer frame. (handling was also cr@ppy, but that's more of a geometry issue, and this one might be fine for that)

I have seen that one as well, and was tempted. Then I remembered I already have a Marinoni to build up!

Who'll probably paint it all black, even the chrome. you could always buy it, build it, ride it for a season or 2 or 10 and sell it again. what's the lost?

Have a 58cm Ciocc, SL, bought in 1985, not noodly at all..

Big frame, if it fits and is less than the $ you would expect it to be..do it. Just bought a early 80s Merckx SL, just 'cuz'. Faema colors, needs paint, 126mm spacing, above the BB cable guides...just cuz

I've always had a thing for Marinoni's. Maybe it's the fond memories of trips to Montreal... Either way, I say do it.

That one is on my watch list too. Get it so I won't.

You only live once. If its something you want and have the means to do it, why not?

Besides, totally sweet looking bike.

Belgian colours by an Italian builder from Canada? Do it :)

Marinoni's are great bikes for cheap. BTW how much is the seller asking?

I have a new way of looking at this...if you have to ask, you don't really want it. The bikes that really speak to you are no brainers.

Correct. This was a bit of a brainer.

Therefore, I just deleted it from my watch list.

Jason, it's all yours. You and Ray could combine to make it sing!

This is very different outlook.

Also, very true!
