Looks like fun to watch. The chase scenes are modeled after movies like The French Connection and are real, not CGI.

From the Rotten Tomatoes website (http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/premium_rush/#audience_reviews), it seems like the majority (>70%) of the critics and audience like it. It's got to be at least better than "Expendables 2"!

Plus the stunt riders included Danny MacCaskill.

I couldn't sit through expendables 1

I saw this movie yesterday. It was really entertaining and fast movig. The bicycle riding was over the top. I could see someone basing a video game on this movie. Some of moves through traffic and additional supporting scenes would make a good video game. I am looking forward to expert opinions about how real this movie is to the bike messenger life. I would rate this movie above the other bicycle theme movies.

Amazingly my wife enjoyed the movie as well despite it being about bicycle riding. But I did have to go with her to see Hope Springs with Meryl Streep, Tommy Lee Jones, and Steve Carell. Yes a "chick flick" but I must admit it was good. Considering the cast how could you miss? The down side is the judgemental look of "you are just like that guy in the movie"

This bit from the NY Post review:

"When an angry cop (Michael Shannon) tells bike messenger Wilee (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), “This whole city hates you!” I was certainly ready to join a standing ovation, but alas the cop, a degenerate gambler, is the bad guy. We’re supposed to root for the biker who daily breaks about 50 laws while endangering countless pedestrians."

The tone is set for a biased review, in my opinion.

I haven't watched the movie, as I'm quite slow in general to watch movies...so can't make a call about the movie myself...but I'm not going to go off of the above review for sure.
