Sadly, road season is coming to an end with me having far fewer races in than I would like ( I feel like I say that every year, but I really mean it). That's what a demanding job and fatherhood mean, so that's that. Nevertheless, my team supported a race this weekend. A local team, Artemis, puts on the race and for the past three years, we have worked with them. It's fun and a fast course that always has breaks that almost always get caught. Had three teammates with me in the race. We had several breaks, I bridged up to two attempts by other teams, we had a guy in what looked to be the winning move, only to be swallowed 100 meters from the line. All in all, some good racing.

Glad to hear it's been a good season.

I took the season off from racing. I had a series of family visits and vacations that limited me to three weeks on/one week off the bike from May till July, so I punted. I had a lot of fun doing some spirited group rides and unsupported centuries, but no USAC events.

I find myself with reasonable form at this point, so I am aiming for one race in October if I can drop a few more pounds.
