Specialized tricross mindset headset replacement ?

I own a tricross and would like to replace the mindset ( bogus headset ) I read a few post on the web and tricross owners have knocked out the mindset and replaced it with a standard cane creek 41mm i.s. headset.
Please pass on any info on this topic...thx

I was the guy that responded to the post, I was ready to roll and called cane creek and they did not think I should knock out the cups that are inserted into the frame. So I'm just trying to get a second opinion before I get into this.
