So, I did it - I deleted vsalon from my favorites. There just isn't anything over there for me anymore. Anybody else?

I'm still pretty new to it, but I really enjoy it...the forums are filled with eye candy of the highest magnitude. My only complaint is that I wish there was more activity/posting.

do we really need to go down this road? it's a different forum, with different content and players for the most part. please let's not start an "us vs. them" thread.

Agree. No need for this discussion here.

meta-meta-bike discussion. It's a post about bike forums on a bike forum which discusses bikes. my head hurts.

I have an account there to check out the pictures and smoked out feature. I waste enough of my time on this place ;)

Although I do not contribute over there, they have some interesting content and personalities. Different strokes...

Based on some of the recent content on our forum, lessons should be learned from across the hall. Threads like: "my bike wants a different color saddle but they no longer make it" get shut down, pronto. We, too are better than crap like this

thanks for letting us all know about that thing you did on the internet!

I guess it did sound bad-Not meant to be negative, I just feel they have too much of an "insider" type of vibe. It seems to be more builder oriented these days.

Is the discussion so bad? I mean we're a nuanced place that talks about why I like 73 degree angles over 75 and 853 steel over 753. I don't think its bad to talk about forums as they relate to bike stuff you like and don't like and why you don't like it.

The one big thing being a lot of familiar (cyber) people went from here to there. There's people and personalities involved. You can constructively comment without it being a us v. them and I would read the thread.

Premium Rush is coming out soon. Us. Them. We'll all have fodder to make fun of something together soon enough.

this thread is the equivalent of a tv show about the making of a tv show.

which means, let's not go down that content-free spiral.

I don't post much there...but it's really good reading.

Good lord!! I have a feeling Ben is glad his name is no longer associated with this place. One sad thread after another.

I dunno about that analogy.

I mean, Ricky Gervais's show Extras (http://www.amazon.com/Extras-Complete-Series-Ricky-Gervais/dp/B000YI99IW/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1344885396&sr=8-3&keywords=extras) was a pretty good show.

Dave, who can no longer hear Cat Stevens sing "Tea for the Tillerman" and not remember that TV show
