I've been eyeing this bike for months... It finally came up for sale, hence my fire sales in the classifieds. It was at the shop around the corner and the owner, a friend, texted me saying someone was about to buy it. My wife got up, said she had to go make a work phone call, and went to the shop and bought it. I'm a lucky man.

Does she have a sister? I have teenage boys so maybe I should ask if you have daughters as well.

Its been about a year so I thought I'd update. The first picture is how the previous owner had built the bike. I've made some adjustments and am very happy with how it sits now.

Oh no! My wife is the best wife in the world.

This will probably become the longest thread in history because any husband who doesn't respond this way is at peril that his wife may find it and think he agreed that the OP has the best wife in the world. There is no way I would risk that.

I really like the changes you made. Top notch build.
Great story. Nothing more reassuring that you married the right woman than her showing up with the bike you wanted to buy.
My wife did the same thing years ago. That bike is pretty beat now and it rarely gets ridden, but I don't think I could ever sell it.
