Is that because the equivalent picture for Campy would represent an entire year's production run?

I'm pretty sure I've seen this guy at swap meets in San Diego. If he gets a bid I'll be amazed.

I believe most of them are actually fixable. Just need some clean-up. No taking-apart needed.

P.S. I fixed my Ultegra and LX shifters.

Since Shimano outsells Campy by about 4:1, theres not enough Campy brifters out there to FILL a bin! Jeff N.

Ergos would be far too valuable for their (useful) spare parts.

4:1

Then show me a bin with 70+ Campy brifters and we'll talk

Keep looking

That's hilarious. Somebody went dumpster diving at the Shimano warranty dept. At a buck a pop it's a deal and you are right I can probably fix 90% of them with the electronic parts cleaner since the don't look like crash victims.

Remember folks, Campy breaks in, while ShimaNO breaks down! I support bicycle jewelry.

So what. :butt:

I still have a DA 8 set that won't die. I've put thousands of miles on those puppies. Training, road races, crit spills & chills...Oregon rain and shine, Rhode Island humidity and freezing temps and they just won't die. I'm not going to replace the gruppo on this bike until they do.

Since 1995 and still going strong.

William

PS: Ride what you like.

Is that an oversized bedpan that the $hitmano brifters are in? :fight:

Yeah. I've been told that if you soak them in certain "fluids" they work better than original. Says a lot about how they work new ;)

If you soaked Campy brifters in certain fluids...they'd probably MELT! But thats OK...they're "rebuildable", right? Jeff N.

It's good to know that unlike other forums we can keep this lighthearted and fun. I've seen this kind of thing come to blows on other forums because people are WAY to sensitive about stuff. You'd think I said their mom sucked not a part of their bicycle.

Shimano still sucks... ;)
(really)

actually, you should all ride what I like!

I've always found it interesting in other forums when they are ready to kill cause some guy two thousand miles away likes riding a different brand of componentry. It's lunacy I tell ya!

If every one was riding a Parlee, I'd probably be out there on a Muffy!

Every time you click Campy, an angel gets it's wings. When you use Shimano they just go to hell.

Every time you click Campy, an angel gets it's wings. When you use Shimano they just go to hell. But Campy doesn't go click. It goes "snick" or "snark". Now Dura Ace... THATS a click!
