OK, I need some help identifying a couple of campy derailleurs. The rear looks to be post C-Record era, maybe an early 8 speed model? Which model, is there an easy way to tell?

Anybody know which level is the front derailleur? Chorus, Athena, Croce, or Record?

thanks in advance.

The exposed bolt on the A pivot means 1990-1992 era. That look was first seen in 1990 Record and Croce D'Aune, had hit Chorus in 1991 and was used in Athena in 1992. By '92 that design was no longer used in Record, and by 1993 all the road derailleurs had hidden A knuckle bolts.

The other hint is the round barrel adjuster - they went to the flat kind in '92 for the full range, so it has to be before that.

Given the finish appearance in the photo, I'd be most inclined to think 91 Chorus, but I can't think of any other way of telling from the picture. It could be one of the 1990 ones.

The FD is a Record circa 1991/2. You can tell by the double shear hinge on the upper link.

I'd say Record on the RD also. 1992 Chorus is nearly the same, but used a tapered head internal hex on the cable clamp. Record had internal and external hexes, at least in some years. If I could find my 1991 catalog, it might show, but it's eluding me at the moment.

1991 Chorus has external hex only. Record may not have gotten the dual wrench nut until 1993. If that's correct, I don't know how distinguish 1991 Chorus from Record, but will look around for the catalog.
