Nicholas Delopolo failed a drug test for marijuana.

He claims it was in some brownies he ate.

Dope.

That's interesting. Pot is legal and even a prescription in a lot of places. Do they test for alcohol use?

It's because it is listed as a banned substance, not based on whether it's "legal" or "illegal."

FWIW - EPO is legal and available by prescription too...but it's also banned.

Wait, I'm confused, aren't there Olympic MTB events?

I guess I'm just confused why a non-performance drug would be banned.

That I can't answer. Frankly, if I was competing in Judo, I think I'd prefer it if the guy across from me was stumbling around asking for Cheetos.....

A user could be immune to Big Event Jitters and so have an advantage. :)

The guy trained so hard for years, only to get expelled for a pot brownie. Kind of pathetic.

If he knew what he was eating he's an idiot. If he didn't, he must be pretty pissed at the "friend" who did the baking.
