Anyone used one? I'm looking at the ISP model as a way to finally travel with my, well, ISP-equipped bike. The soft cases make me nervous.

It works well. The soft case isn't much of a problem. The padding on all sides is more than adequate.

I love my Pika case. Traveled with my Xl 29er, carbon wheels, and it fit fine. When you get everything loaded it's very sturdy. I loaded all my gear in the pack and it was still below 50 pounds. I have the larger of the two sizes.

Those look really well made. Have you tried to fly with one? If so, how much surcharge--full bicycle or oversized?

i've used one for the last year travelling to asia for racing. I have the regular model but I want to say slightly larger than the smallest because I ride a 56cm. I'd have to verify this though if you really need to know.

It is lightweight compared to most alternatives and well made/extremely durable and very easy to pack the bike. All you need to do is remove the wheels, rear derailleur and stem from the steerer tube.

I've had zero damage and have flown with it maybe 20 or so times with a cervelo r5.

it has room for lots of other stuff like helmet, shoes, bottles etc. I was able to put three wheels on one flight with no problem.

Unless you are lucky you will have to pay an oversize fee. While it doesn't scream bicycle it is still easily larger than any normal large sized suitcase.

It is good, however, for staying under the weight limit even when loaded with lots of extras.

If you are required to carry it often, that can be a drag since it doesnt have wheels.

has worked for me 1/2 the time, other times they've figured out it was a bike. The last time the person at the counter had it x-rayed when i told her it wasn't a bike, lol, she wasn't happy when she found it was a bike :bike:

oh, forgot to mention, i really like the case, and although it's soft, seems sturdy to me. Never had a problem
