Rufus likes to ride in the truck, but would jump (literally) at the chance to chase Penny's hero down.

Great idea Fixed! Love the pic of Penny.
Max is a little less civilized, so forgive the blatant nudity in advance. Max is 9, loves to run and chase deer, bunnies, squirrels, sox... Loves everything that is edible. Basically, typical lab. Terrible guard dog for the house. Barks like a bear when the door bell rings but it's just to say, "Hey! Awesome! You're here!" and bring you his dinosaur or one of the kids stuffed animals.
He is VERY protective of our 7 year old. Always between her and others.

They definitely look guilty :)
Lotus is the one with the brindle coat. We rescued her 6 years ago and she was probably around 5 then. She has severe allergies, and years of untreated ear and skin infections left her in pretty rough shape when we got her. She is in much better shape these days.

We settled on Poppie for her name.
(technically my mother's dog, and she'll be living thousands of miles away, but she's the newest addition to the family, so she gets all the attention).

Thanks for the pics all...happy to see all the wonderful friends you have. Just lost mine about a month ago. Kirin was a black lab mix (looked almost purebred though) that loved to ride with me. Actually...he loved to TOW me. We live next to Green Lake in Seattle and he would tow me all the way around on a 10 ft leash while I coasted behind, sprinting the first half of the lake at about 15-20 mph with me in tow. Then my boys came along and he would tow all of us, boys strapped into the Chariot trailer. He went out in a really horrible way just over a month ago and I miss him terribly.

I got some little vinyl transfers made and have it on all my bikes now to make sure I never have to leave him home again.

Great pictures. We lost our Rottie two weeks ago to cancer. Was named Koufax after Sandy.
In the attached pictures, the mutt is named "Spartacus" and the Shepherd is Maddie.
Always funny when I need to explain that the mutt is named after a Swiss bike racer. The shepherd is named after Christy Mathewson (only baseball name I could think of for a female dog).
