The last time I saw the numbers, a person with pancreatic cancer had a 5% chance of survival. That's awful. Somehow, my dad survived it 20 years ago and is still kicking.

Ms. Ride, 61 is way too early to go. You were a true heroine.

Very sad for she was so young. Also sad that she felt she had to hide her sexual orientation until after her death.

I lost a dear friend at age 54 to pancreatic cancer, it is very deadly. So sad for Sally Ride...
