Here he is at 2-1/2 years old helping me build wheels...he's actually pinging the spokes like I do.

And here he is at just over 4...riding bikes and talking bike racing with his old man. This was a few days after the Tour started this year.

There was a time when I thought I'd go crazy when the kids came along because I'd have less time to ride. That never happened. I'm 15 lbs heavier, stopped shaving my legs, can't keep up with my riding buddies any more...but it's all good.

He called dibs on my Colnago MXL already...I said yes of course.

Enough about my kids (the little one says "weeeee" when he see a bike)...how about yours?

Ha.. That's too funny. Right now I am explaining to my kid ( 4 yrs old ) why there is only 1 rider at a time during the TT at the TDF

Very cute little guy. They grow up fast and then they come home from college and destroy you on every ride.

My 20 year old on his way to lapping the feild, a couple years ago, at his collegiate B race.

Awesome! They fdo grow up fast don't they.

My kid turns 19 this year and is headed off to college. I came to cycling later in life, and he and I did our first (for both of us) 50 mile ride when he was 13. We went out for a ride the other day and were remembering that first great adventure. Now he works at my favorite local bike shop. You gotta' love it!
