This is my mother's new miniature Schnauzer. Just picked her up on Saturday. She will be joining Quincey (female), my mother's current miniature Schnauzer.
Originally (before meeting her) she was thinking "Daisy" but apparently she's "definitely not a Daisy." She's very energetic, gets into everything and is pretty smart.
Given that it's not going to be my dog, cycling-related names are not really an option. Also, ignore that fact that my sister seems to be training her to become a redneck "bark at cyclists from the back of your truck" dog.
My current favorite is "Poppy" (the flower) but that's also what lots of folks call Grandpa, so I don't know if that will fly.
So, let's hear your ideas. :)

Stalin, after the nice man from Russia-they both have the same moustache:

If mom can't handle that, then how about Sam. Short for "Yosemite Sam". It's the 'stache, I tell ya!

What is mustache in German? If it sounds good, I'd go for that.
Or any english word that describes her translated into german.
PS. yes, I read the part about not selecting cycling names. These are German names, that just happen to ALSO be cycling names.

The best names for pets often come from their antics or personality. It's hard to tell from a picture what kinda dog she is. No not her lineage, her demeanor.
If she's a lover maybe something like:
Suzy
If she's a fighter:
Charlene
If she's a goof:
Shelby
If she's proper:
Charlotte
If she's.....
What a cute face!
