Heads-up HT extension-any concerns, creaks?

Before I put a 2cm ti head tube extension on my Merckx ti frame, it would be nice to hear from those who've done this - did your frame develop any new creaks because of this modification? I understand the issues about the headset being hard to remove once it's re-installed, but I'm more concerned about creakiness resulting from the heads-up being installed.

Going on a frame w/1 inch headtube. Purchasing from Ti Cycles in Portland (http://ticycles.com/ ).

I've used one from Ti Cycles and have 2 Serotta Heads Ups on bikes right now. Never a problem.

I've had Heads Ups on other bikes and no issues at all.
