Just wondering, what difference in stack height will there be going from an integrated headset to a non-integrated (but still threadless) headset? I realize you can't you both types on one frame, but if you had two frames with the same head tube lengths, and one was integrated, one non, just wondering about the height diff....

thanks!:)

Hi Oldguy,

On average an integrated headset has a 2cm shorter stack height than a conventional threadless headset.

Conventional headsets have a stack height of 25-30mm and integrated models may be purchased with a low profile top section that's about 5mm tall or an extended version that is 15mm tall.

The greatest difference would be 25mm and the least would be 10mm.

For one example, the Cane Creek internal headset on my Klein has about 7mm stack while my Chris King has about 32 mm of stack height
