Those classic Campy tool kits show up on FleaBay every once in a while and have steadily increased in "asking price" to upwards of $3,500 / $4,500 for a NOS one.

I kick myself for not snagging one I saw a few years ago for about $1,200, which would have been a fair price.

Sigh. Once, these tools were used on what we rode and the quality of their construction implied a sort of permanence. Now they are a kind of artifact and the images of them are art.
