Apologize if I missed it in some post already, but curious what chemicals they stuck in Wiggins nose before his time trial ride today.

Imagine it had something to do with opening his nostrals or lungs for more breathing capacity.

Thanks

There's the video of Le Cannibal putting Vicks Vaporub or something up his nose before he broke the one hour record at a track in Mexico City. Perhaps Wiggo followed form?

Also noticed the elliptical big ring on Wiggins TT bike. When did these gadgets come back into favor? Any other rider using these type of chainrings besides Wiggins?

Wiggins takes exception to your question.....

"...Which is not to say Wiggins is a cyborg. Asked at a press conference following Stage 8 to respond to Twitterverse speculation that Sky's dominance must be pharmacologically enhanced, he, well, wigged out.

"I say they're just f------ wankers," Wiggins said. "It justifies their own bone idleness because they can't imagine applying themselves to do anything in their lives.

"It's easy for them to sit under a pseudonym on Twitter and write that sort of ****, rather than get off their own arses in their own lives and apply themselves and work hard at something and achieve something. And that's ultimately what counts." He closed with a particularly vile obscenity, then walked out of the press conference.

Didn't Bobby Julich like those?

The best defense is a attacking offense.

The team is doped higher than the sky.

C'mon Gray, it must be clean this year. Why else would Mr. Wiggins get so upset?

Just to be clear on my end, I was not trying to imply anything with my question. Only curious, and what the benefits might be.

Yup, he got a bronze in the 2004 Olympic TT in Athens,
which was around the time the rings started to appear more on certain pro bikes.

And a particular fondness for that one special obscenity...
