This is how the REAL Wilier Triestina was finished.

I want to say that Kelly Bedford did a bike for one of the NAHBS shows with copper patina as part of the finishing process but I can't find pictures right now.

That Colnago is a beautiful bike.

Gorgeous. I love the contrast of the mint parts to the patina on the frame.

This is exactly what I was thinking. Great combo!

Usually when you read about patina on bikes, such at on eBay or Craigslist = OLD. On this bike the patina = antique greatness. Really cool bike!

I don't like the patina look on a semi-modern bicycle. Now if it was from the turn of the previous century, like an Appleman's, that's a different story.

To each there own

Cool, is there a clear coat over it, or will this bike change over time? Would clear coat stop the patina? Very awesome!

My friend Jeff had a Copper plated Whitcomb when we were college roomates. It was an incredibly beautiful frame. Sew-ups only please!!
Cheers,

I live in a land of copper roofs (to address snow) but it most reminds me of the De Young in SF.

Looks cool. BQ has some thoughts on this in the Summer 2012 issue. Apparently the base layer of copper added 450g to Mr. Heine's plated frame (p. 50)

Pretty darn cool. I think I still prefer the copper chromovelato finish of the old Wiliers, but that Colnago certainly has character in spades.
