Recently acquired this really cool fondriest track frameset. the paint is awsome, the white parts have a pearl hue, and the stripy bits are metallic green and purple. its tig'ed, and made with dedacciai steel tubing thats massively oversized and very thin, also have curvy seat stays and chain stays.

Looks like a beast - esp. w/ those fastback stays

thanks, i thought so too! its hard to capture with a cell phone camera but in person, the tubing really contributes to the beastly appearance. i cannot wait to get it out on the boards. there is some sort of a reinforcement/ partial lug where the seat stays attach to the seat tube.

fabulous bike, man! I loves me some fondriest. was seriously considering a TF1 back before I got my C40.

the old school fork looks a little outta place on that curvy tubed tig with Fastback stays, maybe fit a fork with straight legs to keep the modern design theme throughout. make it white, too!

silly-sick frame you have!

Agree a straight fork would seriously seal the deal but think its a stunner either way. I did the same think with my road frame with fast back stays. Completes the stance.

The EAI Bareknuckle fork is Dedacciai and has a simple lug crown - would fit the bill and probably easy enough to find.

The more I look at this, the more I like it. The curved stays are purdy and remind me of my ex-Serotta Atlanta.

Beauty of a bike. I have 2 Fondreist's of this era myself a steel Megachrome and an aluminum Reverso and the paint on these bikes is unbelievable. Buid it and enjoy it. If you ever tire of it let me know! :)

Perfect! I'm very jealous. You know, I used to have a Fondriest seatpost that was painted to exactly match that scheme, stripes included. BTW, I rode a Fondriest Megachrome all over Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa last week. Great bikes.

Don't see many "Fondi's" on the road that's for sure and even fewer on the "drome". Great bike, great color, great condition, what more could you ask. I rode my Fondi on yesterdays Firecracker 40 and enjoyed it like I always do.

dedcai optima tubing is 16.5 in the main frame and columbus 725 in the stays i believe. she would make for a really light track bike or fixie.

wow thanks for that little bit of into. i believe a carbon fork would top it off nicely, shave off some weight from the fork.
