I am sure this has been covered before. I tried a search but got bored before I found an answer. I have recently ordered a new Kirk frame and i am putting lots of thought into what components I will use. I am a Campy guy and would like to put my Record stuff on the bike. I am contemplating a long reach brake so that I might have some flexibility with tire sizes. Will my Record brifters work with Shimano long reach brakes. Or is there another better idea?

They'll work better if you take some black nail polish and mark over the Shimano logo on them.
No kidding.
Really.

plus you will be able to install fat tires w/o deflating them because you will have the Shimano brake release on the calipers plus the Campy release on the levers.

Never mix. You'll have a headache in the morning, Jeff N.
