Thoughts on this Merckx Strada O.S.?

Obviously I'm not competing for this Merckx listed on eBay, but do have it under some level of consideration although the price seems a bit high.

There's a same-sized MX Leader (53) that has its HT angle listed at 72°, so would this Strada have the same geo? Preferring slack frontends I was planning to move to a Colnago Master xl, but this particular Merckx keeps calling. I have a -17° Serotta ti stem and polished silver 26mm Deda 215 shallow that would see good service on the Strada. Oh the analysis paralysis... :)

I don't know much about this model, but I do know that the price is way out of line. Don't bother, or if you're really interested wait for the auction to fail and see if he relists.

Yeah, that's a $500 frame on the very best of summer days. I would be worried about a bigger ding under the sticker...

Overpriced but a one-owner Corsa TSX not at all mint and with a bit of rust, went for $800+ a couple of weeks ago.

The price is definitely high; the suggestion of $500 seems fair.

As far as the head angle goes, unless you can find a catalog from that frame's production year to verify the head angle is the 72 degrees you seek, then you can't assume the Strada will have the same geometry as the MX Leader you mentioned.
